Common Reef Keeping Mistakes![]() The following is a list of common reef keeping mistakes that you should try to avoid. Educate yourself and enjoy your reef keeping experience. Stocking too fast. Taking advice from too many people, all at the same time. Buying fish and/or equipment on impulse. Not buying the right equipment the first time. Adding supplements rather than fixing the problem source. Stocking too soon, before the cycle has completed. Buying livestock without researching their needs. Over feeding.
